Sunday Afternoon Extras Without Asking

This visit was Sunday afternoon Feb 18, the Sunday of the Presidents’ day holiday, from about 4:30 to 6:30. I had visited the famous Florida tourist attraction the mermaid show at Weeki Wachie springs and stopped at Bare Assets on the way back. The place is easy to find and has a lot of parking. There is no cover before 7pm. A sign said 2 drink minimum but it was not being enforced. I had a bottle of Fiji water for $4. It is dark and coming in from bright sun it took awhile for my eyes to adjust.

A big minus from my point of view was that smoking was allowed and the ventilation was not good enough to dissipate the smoke.

Entering the rest rooms are on the left. The stage is to the right and farther back in the building is the bar. The stage was oval shaped with one pole and also horizontal bars for the dancers to hang above the tip rail. Oddly the level of the actual stage was below the tip rail, hardly raised at all above the main floor level giving the impression that the dancers where down in a hole. This did make the pole a little longer as the ceiling was low. There were about 20 chairs around the tip railing and a couple of rows of tables on one side. There were more tables opposite the bar. At the back of the room were a few small spaces with poles, spaces for groups I guess, not used while I was there. The room was rather run down with less flashing lights than fancier places and some mirrors. There were 2 projection TV’s that were showing random programs.
