Consistently Inconsistent

Mario's is quite a roll of the dice. Today that roll didn't work out too well for me. The club does a nice job of staying clean and the employees are approachable, but there are a lot of local jackasses that seem to try to intimidate the traveler that -isn't- local. That was the case here; a few fat wannabe tough-guy types giving me a stare for some reason as I sat down and tried to get a drink / lure in a good looking girl. WTF?! The last thing I want to look at in here is some other guy.

I presume that these guys are probably "dating" a dancer or two, or perhaps more accurately plowing through their paychecks for them. Whatever. It really detracted from my visit, which was otherwise fine. The club on a Friday afternoon always seems pretty busy, and there are plenty of girls. The problem is that many of them aren't interested in earning money right away, perhaps on the front end of a long shift or expecting a big night for themselves.

The mix of girls is still really strong here. There's a "something for everyone" type vibe with a good blend of white/black/asian/hispanic girls, as well as a big mix of body types. There is an incredibly sexy black girl here that I like coming back for; she's really aggressive and gives a fantastic dance. The lap dances are $20; a really good value aside from the $150+ YMMV champagne room. Frankly unless I feel there is just no way to turn down that VIP, I just buy a huge amount of dances and have a great time.
