A Laid-back Locals Joint

Some days, having fun is all about expectations. In Las Vegas for a trade show, and I would up with time on my hands during the daylight hours. Since, in the words of a Canadian friend, "Las Vegas has a paddle for everyone's a$$," I was on the lookout for some daytime fun at one of the strip clubs open 24/7. After a "meh" experience at Crazy Horse III Monday morning, and recalling a "meh" daytime visit to Cheetah the previous trip, I decided to consult the oracle of TUSCL and try a locals place, Play it Again, Sams. The club is on Spring Mountain Road, fairly obvious in its yellow paint and sign. A decent sized lot, free parking, no cover on any of my three visits (Monday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon, and Wednesday morning before my flight.

Inside the club, there's a long bar opposite the entrance; video poker screens embedded in the bar top. A large main stage in the center; booths along the wall parallel to the main road, round tables and chairs around the stage, and a lap dance area past the bar. Bartender was friendly and unaffected; $4 for a domestic beer, and (for the first time in ages) change for a $20 returned as a $10, a $5, and a single, instead of the usual 16 singles. I felt like a local, all right. During the earlier of my visits, there was no one dancing on the stage; when they were there, the stage was hard to watch from the bar (no mirrors on the wall behind). It really didn't matter, because the dancers stopped by one by one to introduce themselves.

Overall, dancers were older than other clubs, either no longer Sapphire material or never were. Didn't matter to me; the ladies were polite, affectionate, and would take "no" or "not right now" for an answer. The recipe here is friendly and hassle-free, which I found appealing. I liked the vibe well enough to come back despite the variety of alternatives. A few the MILFs were fun, but I had the best time with L*******, an island girl with a warm conversation style and a fine, sensual LD. Dances were $20 each, 3 for $100 in the back room; there was a VIP available, but I didn't see in in use. Net, this is a joint designed to cater to locals but good for visitors with the right expectations of friendly conversation, front-room romance, and reasonably-priced drinks. I'll spend my strip club dollar here and leave the big, glamorous destinations to others.
