Sorry, Just Not Feeling The New Format

I used to never go on Fridays and Saturdays because they were so packed. But with the new format, I doubt I'll return anytime soon. It was maybe a third of the usual Saturday crowd was there, and there were a lot of guys AND dancers sitting or prancing around. Several empty chairs on the floor, again, not typical for a Saturday night at Fuego. The $22 cover hadn't changed, but the new policies include NO lapdances on the floor on the walls or in the chairs (and the chairs along the back wall were removed), and no nudity from the dancers on stage (or at least I didn't see any). Didn't see one nude tit. They have dedicated areas where all dances take place, and THAT is an extra $10 to buy a wristband that gets you access to the other designated lap/VIP areas which were virtually empty. Just a couple empty tables for the dancer to give you a stand-up lapdance.

Barely a minute after I walked in, I was approached by a latina dancer (who imo, happened to be the finest dancer that night), who asked me for a dance. I asked how much, and I thought she said $20 first song and $10 thereafter. We go in and it's empty except for one other dancer and customer. After two dances, she told me that EACH song was $20, plus the $10 wristband. So I ended after the 2nd dance. So, cover, 2 dances, and wristband had me down $72 in the first 10 minutes I was there. Other than that, there were maybe 14 or so dancers, mostly 7s, joking with guys, walking around or sitting, huddled together.

Now I understood why so many guys and dancers were just standing around. It was pretty sad - I never left out of Fuego in less than an hour before. I don't know if Fuego has to abide by new MD laws or that it's just new management playing it safe. Or they are probably just doing this because they know the other clubs got shut down and they are the only game in town. And I also understand that the dancers want more than $10 per dance. But I just don't see the new format being successful in sustaining this club for very long. I'm not returning until I see some more positive reviews.
