Wednesday Evening At 2001 Odyssey
This visit was Wednesday evening February 14 from about 9:30 until 11:30. There is limited parking in front and one sign said secured parking in rear, which implies that some customers might be doubtful about that. The club is in a normal commercial area although there were a few homeless people hanging around a couple of blocks away. Anyway I was staying at the Howard Johnson hotel half a block away so didn't have to worry about parking.
Incidentally that hotel is pretty much a dump but cheap. Entering the usual evening cover was $20 although this was "Wristband Wednesday" where you can pay an extra $5 for a wristband. The advantage of this is normally you have to pay $5 each time to go to the regular lap dance rooms (the Launch Pad) with a dancer but the $5 wristband covers this for the entire time in the club. Also you get one free beverage, except a couple of things including Fiji water that I had were an extra $2.
Entering the juice bar is on the left. In the center is the "L" shaped stage with 3 poles and with about 20 chairs around the tip rail. There is a mix of low and high tables away from the stage and along one wall a row of reserved booths. There is also a small stage that could be called a cage since it had vertical bars around it which later in the evening was occupied by a dancer. The ceiling is rather low. There are lots of mirrors including the polished marble like ceiling which acts as a mirror. Off to the right are the rest rooms under a neon sign that says "Pisser". The overall finishes of the room seemed fairly new and good. There were the usual rotating lights and the short arm of the "L" had a fog machine that was activated from time to time although there was never a dancer there when in did. A few dancers used strobe lighting. There were TV's showing sports, the Winter Olympics this night.
