Good Enough Daytime Visit
I am seldom in Charlotte and have only been to a few of the clubs there. I had to be there for business today, and since I love both black women and $5.00 dances, I thought I'd give Candi Cabaret a shot. Rolled into town at 12:30 p.m. and headed straight to the club. There were several dancers arriving at that time, and I liked what I saw. Parked for free in the small lot (though when I left at 2:00, it looked like they might have set it up for valet). Door man asked for my ID, scanned it, and gave me a pat-down as I walked through the metal detector. No cover at 12:30 on Fridays, I guess, and no talk of "membership."
The club is pretty small and, um, not upscale. At all. The small bar, which is straight ahead, seats seven; there is a small stage with a pole to the left and a VIP "area" to the right with sheer curtains that are not intended to be drawn. It is not private, but the club is very dark, so I suppose that provides some cover.
At 12:30, there were about 7 or 8 PLs, mostly black, but a couple white like me. Not sure what they sell at the bar; today I didn't even bother to get my usual bottle of water. Headed to the restroom, which was pretty disgusting; two smelly urinals and one stall with a door (if that matters to you). Back out on the floor, rap music was playing, but the girls didn't come out until about 1:00. There ended up being about a dozen working by 2:00. All were black, though I thought I saw a white girl come in and head into the dressing room just before I left. Not all were my type, but they all looked attractive in one way or another. They were friendly, coming by to sit in my lap and chat and ask if I was interested in dances. Yes, yes I was.
