First Time At Hk

Last week, I worked a conference in San Diego. I had heard about HK and had a free afternoon during the conference. I looked through several reviews trying to plan my adventure. Gotta say, EastCoaster covered the info comprehensively. Since my work covered my hotel, I stayed in SD and just ventured across the border as a day trip. EC had mentioned parking next to Jack-in-the-Box so I set my GPS accordingly. I paid $8 for parking. If you walk past McD, then follow the crowd, and follow signs to “new border crossing”.

My Canadian Nexus card didn’t help getting into Mexico so I had to get my passport stamped (Nexus only worked getting back into USA). Once in Mexico, walk along sidewalk to the street. You see taxis lined up on other side of street. My driver spoke English and confirmed $5 USD for a ride to HK. Once I arrived, was patted down, entered, I was met by my new friend and “mesarro” (probably spelling it wrong) Pablo-32. I tipped him $20 and he took care of me all afternoon. I ordered tacos for lunch, Pablo handled it. All drinks, etc, Pablo handled. Girls will constantly ask to sit with you. No harm in saying no if they are not your type. If you buy them a drink, they get a slip of paper that must give them credits. I had several girls rotate through. Some want to speed up the transaction and go upstairs. I avoided them. A cute girl stopped by, took her time, who I eventually went upstairs with.

I did not get a hotel room, just a private room in the club. I paid $100 for one hour, plus $80 for the girl, $20 tip to girl. For $200, I got way more than most US clubs, plus to interruptions, no cameras, anything goes. Frankly, if you take a girl upstairs, everything is the norm. I stayed and had another drink before departing. There are probably 50 or more girls there, wanted to see more! Once I left, Taxis were waiting outside club. Another $5 plus $1 tip. Nexus card got me to front of Sentri line, swiped, returned to car, all was good. I never felt unsafe. All was good for entire trip. In fact, I went back the next day before my departing flight. This way, you pass the long line.
