They Know Their Target Market
I'd not been there in years - not since it was Stevie Secret's club. Back then it was a long drive for me, but a solid value dive club where the girls "enthusiasm" easily compensated for anything they might lack in looks. I was hopeful that the same basic formula persisted, and it probably does but I don't think I'm their target demographic - still, as a business it appears to be working for them.
Most clubs try to mine a rich vein of white guys blowing up their credit cards in search of escape. Not T&A. The clientele this Thursday night looked to be a mixture of working class Hispanics (that's no insult by the way) and wanna-be gangster kids (yeah, that's kind of an insult).
A poster announced that Thursday night was jiggly butt night or something like that. That's secret code for most girls having pretty faces but looking like they were recruited from the population of single moms in the returns line at Walmart. Fortunately, their kids were at home but in several cases it looked like their boyfriends were there with them. A couple of the slightly less homely girls were giving lap dances after their sets, but not a single one approached me or made eye contact after the customary multi dollar tips during their sets.
