The Grand Poo-bah Of Atlanta

After hearing and reading so much about this club from a number of different sources over the last couple years, I finally took some time to go and visit. Going in there were two things that I had to contend with. 1. From what I have read and heard over the last couple years, Follies is probably the best club in Atlanta and possibly Georgia for value, mileage and such. 2. More recently over the last year or so from what I can deduce from the reviews, the quality of the dances and experience is on a decline.

Having said that my main goal for this visit was to just take in the Follies experience whether it be good or bad. I got to the club sometime around 2 in the afternoon on Tuesday. Went through the door and saw the girl that checks ID's and does the pat-downs. She told me she was only accepting tips at the moment but I declined to give her anything. I mean why I should tip you for process that last less than 2 minutes and I get no pleasure in. Once in the club I decide to walk around for a bit before taking a seat. From what I saw the place is a bit small. I noticed that there were two areas in the club that had high chairs.

The one immediate to my left as I walked in had the VIP signs placed on them. There was an area to the far right of the club by the wall where there were a smaller number of high chairs where anyone could sit. While walking around I also got a chance to look at the dancers and to me it seemed like there were more AA dancers with a few white girls and some Cuban/Latinas mixed in.
