Very Different Than My Idea Of A Strip Club
Went to La Cueva last Saturday at the suggestion of a friend last Saturday night. The place looks like a cave from the outside and is frequented by many locals. The place was packed but unfortunately not packed with girls that worked there. I only stayed for a short while but drank a couple beers with my friend and noticed that most of the people there were just hanging out either as couples or in groups.
From what I saw there were probably between 10-15 girls who actually looked like they worked there and all the other girls were just normal girls that came in with other guys. At one point during the night a bunch of people just got on stage (the same main stage that has the stripper pole) and started dancing to the music. During my entire stay there I never saw girls dancing on stage in a traditional strip club fashion. The beers there were a couple dollars, the prices were in pesos if I remember correctly because mostly locals go there.
I went with a Mexican girl who wanted to check the place out and after about 30 minutes even she was bored with the vibe and atmosphere and said we should leave. For a Saturday night I expected much more from a place that is billed as a strip club. I probably would not return, but rather spend my time and money in Zona Norte.
