Slow Night

Was in Baltimore for business and stopped by the Block. I hadn't been in the Jewel Box before.

It was surprisingly slow for a Saturday night. One girl dancing, and only one girl on the floor that I could see. The mood is pretty chill. It's dark, not too loud, and the seats all have a good view the stage. The bartender was friendly. The girls, though, were a disapointment.

The one girl on the floor didn't waste much time sitting down with me, and I obliged her a drink, for $25, which seems to be the going rate on the block. She was pretty..once upon a time.. Missing a few lower teeth, a lot of scabs on her hands and face, and she was either pretty drunk or still high when I got there. Definitely had a heroin look to her. She was also apparently sick, and when she excused herself "to use the bathroom" I could hear her sneezing and coughing in the back.
