Such a different vibe…
So while in the area decided to stop in at the downtown club after being at the east club the night before. Have not been to this club before but from the prior reviews I was not expecting to be blown away. Parking was plentiful when I arrived about 9:30 PM. Paid the $5.00 cover charge and went inside. Saw that they had a fog machine going or had just shut off as the light beams were flashing everywhere.
Floor manager wanted to get me to a table but the bar was almost empty so declined to sit at the bar. Bar is on the right as you enter and pretty much down the whole length of that side of the room until you get to the rest rooms. Two medium flat screens were bookending above the bar on the wall. Stage is opposite wall from the bar and it a nice size with a bump out in the center where the pole was. Mirrors behind the stage for the whole length. Lots of two person tables and to the left as you entered was a sort of booth with four tables in front of the back seating area. So if you had a party of 7 – 10 people you could park there.
Two young female bartenders were working and the one asked what I wanted. Ordered my usual and I saw her looking around the wells for the liquor. Came back and said they did not have it. Asked where they keep their whiskey’s and she pointed to the shelf on the right. Sure enough there it was. Had to guide her to it but she finally found it. They just do not train bartenders like they used to.
