It’s been a while since I stopped in to the Dolphin II. I posted a review over a year ago describing the decline of this club since they first opened. I’m sorry to report that the decline continues. They now have a cover charge. On top of that their drink prices have gone up to the point that of all the 50+ strip clubs in the Portland metro area the Dolphin is the highest priced hands down.

Feel like a Dewars rocks or other call shot on your way home from work on a Tuesday night? Expect to pay $10.75. That’s a $3.00 cover charge and $7.75 for your drink. (That drink was $6.75 on my last report and too expensive then.) Oh, and you get to look at dancing fat girls.

OK, to be fair there was one decent looking dancer the night I visited but she didn’t take her bikini bottom off. At the Dolphin the dancers only get totally naked if they think they’ve received ‘enough’ tips. That usually means only late in the week after 10:00 pm when the club is moderately crowded. Earlier in the week or earlier in the evening when the club isn’t busy think California style topless club, no full nudity. Again, there are exceptions but for a $12 shot (with tip) for a short pour you will not get your moneys worth here.
