It has Changed
It's been a few years since I've been to Baltimore, so I was anxious to see if the Block has changed. It has, but not for the better. Fewer bars and fewer dancers. It used to be possible to have a good time bar hopping the Block. If you didn't find anyone interesting in one place, there was always more bars to look in. Not anymore. A handful of places still open, but good luck finding any dancers you would look twice at if you were in a decent club. But since I was here for the night, I tried to find someone to spend some money on.
After three different in and outs (walk in the club...look around...walk out), I sat down in the Red Room because there was a semi-good looking dancer on the stage. After her set, and after she finished her drink with the guy she had been sitting with, she came over. You don't get any free time to talk on the Block. As soon as a girl sits down, the bar troll is there to ask if you want to buy her a drink. I said yes, to see if there was any future with this one. Not bad...a hand down my pants, and DFK within a minute of getting the drink. The options were explained to me...VIP, or LD. I decided that based on what I was getting at the bar, the LD was going to be the best option. Probably should have gone with the VIP. Although she had a good time (came twice), I didn't. But all in all, worth it.
