Worth a repeat visit
I was in central Phoenix, with an hour or so to kill, and given the recent downturn at the HiLiter, decided to stop in here and see what was up.
I hadn't been here since it was Cheetah's, probably more than 10 years ago. I was surprised when I walked in, as the place was obviously recently remodeled, and looked pretty swank. Lots of the compulsory neon, pretty big main stage, and VIP in the back. There even looked to be an upstairs above the bar, which certainly wasn't there in the old days. There's also a Champagne Room or something like that, and a mini-fridge stocked with bottles of champagne as you walk in. It made the place look kind of cheesy, even for a strip club. Overall, the club looked as nice as any I've seen in Phoenix.
When I got there, there were probably 8 or so PLs, with a half dozen of them sitting at the bar, their back to the stage. I took a seat at one of the tables by the stage, and there were two others at the tables, one with a dancer on his lap. As I sat down, I realized there was no dancer on the stage, and warning bells went up. I ordered a beer, $5 for a import draft, and the waitress brought my change for a 20 back in singles, causing more warning bells.
