Neighborhood Comfort
Parkway is a neighborhood bar located in a largely residential area with good, safe parking. As others have noted, this is a relaxed bar, not a glitzy high-pressure club. Shaped something like a backwards "L," Parkway has a pool table where regulars are usually racking them up; next comes the bar, which divides the pool area from the dance floor; after this comes the seating area filled with small tables and a slightly elevated runway that leads directly to the stage. To the right of the stage is the couch dance area, separated from the main stage by curtains that are mostly transparent (that way you can get an idea of a particular dancer's couch style before opting for a dance).
On the afternoon that I visited, there were only three or four customers in the table area with more sitting at the bar chatting with dancers. The dancers perform a two-song set, usually dancing down the runway to a pole near the bar as well as dancing on the main stage. During the second song, most dancers will offer dollar dances to customers sitting next to the stage, and after each set they circulate to every table offering dollar dances. Most will also ask about a couch dance, but there's never any high pressure.
This time I had about 5 couch dances with Ella, who is an excellent dancer, extremely graceful and sensuous. Best of all, each dance is only $10 and well worth it, and even after 5 dances it wasn't bad to give Ella an additional tip for her talented work.
