Early Saturday night, I was in the neighborhood, so I decided to give Ten’s another chance. This was the first time I’ve seen the “new version” of the place. Unfortunately I arrived at 7:00 just as the cover went up to $10. I guess new surroundings mean a higher price of admission.

The new layout is decidedly an improvement over the warehouse-like environment of the old club. A single cross-shaped stage has replaced the multiple stages, and the circular shape of the club offers clear but distant sightlines if you don’t want to sit in “pervert’s row.” It also has multiple floors, and while I didn’t explore the other levels, the construction does allow them to project the Sox games on the wall over the stage.

Another positive…multiple backrub girls on duty. Awfully nice to get a good backrub with the view. Unfortunately the backrub girl was the only one to come by.
