Tuesday in The House

I haven't been to Alex's in about 3 months and there are a few recent changes in the club that struck me immediately. They've added additional seating in the main area with smaller tables and seats, which allows the customers to spread out in the main area more easily. The original configuration from last years renovation took up to much floor space and pushed the occupants of the main area almost on top of each other. The "offensive" DJ (Chipmunk on speed) that chirped incessantly is gone and today's DJ annunciated dancer names well and offered complementary commentary. Drink service was efficient and at the ready.

Today's lineup was at least 8 deep and included veteran Alex dancer's Jada, Star, and Julia. There were another 5 dancers that were unfamiliar to me, but I did find Lola to be the most compelling new dancer that I've seen at Alex's in a while. Today's visit gave me a reason or two to make more frequent stops than I've been making to Club Alex's in the past year.
