Not as hype as I hoped, but also not as hood

I had not been to a "black" club in a while so some friends decided to hit up this place. My hopes actually rose as we pulled up to the parking lot and a cop waved us in, stopped the car, and said to me after I rolled the window down, "Gentleman, no drugs, no weapons." I had actually hoped for a significantly more memorable experience after this. Sadly the trip was largely uneventful.

There were two more uniformed police officers working the metal detector outside the front gate. This club was either overly cautious or had a history of poor experiences.

The venue was of a good size, plentiful parking, and relatively clean. All of the seats smelled like an old yeast infection but the bathrooms were clean though a bit cramped when walking around folks using the urinals. Many of the seats on the floor had broken arms or were missing a roller wheel, but enough seating was available to accommodate our party.
