Two different days at Follies

This is actually a summary of two days at Follies, Tuesday and Wednesday, both visits being in the afternoon. I arrived on Tuesday after 1 pm and the valet was in place. He offered $5 to park or $10 right in front. I paid $5, but my car was right by the door. On Wednesday, I was meeting Shadowcat (an early arriver) so I arrived just after noon and the valet was not in place. I have never had an issue with the valet, but if I can keep the $5 plus tip in my pocket, I would.

Both of these days were early January, and neither were particularly full. Tuesday, I just stopped in as I was passing through on business and wanted to see what it was like. I was there no more than an hour. The club was not full, either from a customer or a dancer standpoint. I did not feel any pressure to buy a drink as has been reported here, but I bought one anyway. I got a mixed drink and the waitress charged me $10. That is much more than I have paid in the past. The dancer mix was not strong, at least in my opinion. I like variety, although I am not really a fan of the cubans as I like to talk to them a bit before we move beyond that. I saw no Griffin girls, very few of the AA dancers I know and love and I did not even recognize the waitress that charged me $10. I was not on board with the current vibe on TUSCL that Follies is headed down hill, but Tuesday was not a good day. I did end up getting dances from a bleached blond with many tattoos who I had not met before. They were decent, but not over the top. This was not a good day at Follies in my humble opinion.

I returned on Wednesday to me Shadowcat as I have not seen him for a few months. I arrived just after noon and no Valet or cover. Shadow was in his corner, but there were few PLs and even fewer dancers. A number of the hi top tables had VIP Table cards on them. I asked Shadow what that was and he spit a bit of venom. I am with him. Total BS. The management is clearly trying to get a bit more revenue, so they now will charge on a busy day to get one of the better located high top tables.
