Good visit but not the old Hi Liter
I went to the club about 3 on Tuesday January 2. I was surprised that the parking lot was almost full. The club was even more so with no tables available. There were some places on the walls where dancers were sitting, but I don’t like sitting there was the dances are more expensive and the dancers feel that because you are sitting there you want a dance from the so you are constantly being subjected to “can I sit down?”
The “can I sit down” has seems to replace “Wanna dance”. This made the refusal more awkward at first because how can you courteously deny a request to sit down. The dancers also seem to get more annoyed with a refusal to this. I know this sounds snobbish, but most dancers I don’t want to talk to and if I do I feel guilty about not getting dances if they spend time with me. This is dumb, I know. However, I am to the point where I treat “can I sit down” as ‘Wanna dance” and courteously say no thanks, not now and give some sort of compliment.
But with the club being crowded, I found a seat at the bar. The bar at Hi Liter is not good if it is crowded. They cram too many chairs on the bar, the chairs are too low and you are constantly being bumped by other patrons and dancers. Generally, you are not hit with the “wanna dance” although you do get “some want some company” but much less than on the floor.
