Chill, Laid Back Club w/ No Hassling

The Jet Strip is quite possibly the most laid back club in the western part of Los Angeles, and is certainly a great choice for a traveler overnighting at LAX who wants a no hassle, no hustle, neighborhood experience. Relatively small, the club features a full kitchen with pretty good bar food that is, regretably, only open until about 8 pm. The dancers are mostly girl next door types, completely approachable and low to no pressure. There is no dancer drink hustle. The club features a so-called "showcase" about once every thirty minutes where all of the dancers parade on stage and then come out into the audience to solicit private dances.

The first of the after showcase dances is free, so you are essentialy getting a two-for-one, but they don't announce it as such, they call it a "free dance." Best bet is to select a dancer during the showcase that strikes your fancy and then smile at her when she comes down from the stage, she'll take the hint and ask you for a dance. You'll then have six minutes (two dances, one free, one paid) to check her out and see if you click. If so, take her into the Premier Lounge for a half hour private dance.

My most recent visit was around 9pm on a Thursday night. There were about 10 dancers working and all were super friendly when I approached them. They all seemed to generally like each other too, so there wasn't any of that catty competition and backstabbing you see at a lot of clubs.
