Visit to The Block

In town on business and figured that I would visit The Block and see what all the fuss was about. Amazing display of people on the street, right across from the police station. Walked down the street which was pretty crowded for a cold, dark night. Got a few offers from some girls who wanted to take the middle man out of the way and make some quick money. I declined these offers and decided to sample a few clubs. I stopped in Chez Joey, not knowing what to expect. Club is small, stage close to bar. I found a seat and ordered a beer.

Sipped the beer for a while and watched some of the dancers on stage. Made eye contact with a couple of the better looking ones. When they got off stage they mingled with the patrons. One of them approached me and started chatting. Started telling me her life story and how she ended up dancing there. After a while, she asked if I wanted a private dance. Since she was one of the better looking ones, I accepted. She gave a decent dance, although it was not as intimate as you would hope. After the second dance, I thanked her. I went back to the bar but had lost my seat.

I stood behind the stools for awhile and watched a few more dancers. I didn't think things would get any more exciting so I left to try some other clubs. Overall, this is not one of the better clubs but it was okay to kill some time, have a drink, and watch a few chicks dance. Would return on my next visit to Baltimore, but with reduced expectations.
