First time at VIPS

My friend and I decided to hit up a strip club, we were originally going to go somewhere else but she convinced me to just go to VIPs since we live downtown and it's really close. It's funny because I've actually gone past VIPs a ton of times but never realized what it was. It's definitely a safe area so we didn't feel uncomfortable wandering around at night. We get to the club, $20 cover which seems pretty standard I suppose.

The staff like the door guy and the coat check gal were really friendly. We got a table and some drinks. For a strip club I think the drinks were reasonable, $10. They were strong too. They don't have shot girls so that's nice, no one to hound you for those weak sugary things. It's a relatively small club with one stage that is in between tables and the bar. There is a VIP area but we didn't go back there. It's $20 for lap dances at the table, not sure for VIP. The club...it's not your typical flashy club. I think it kind of falls flat. Everything was clean but it just looked kind of dated.

The dancers wear long gowns, the only take them off to dance on stage and some don't even completely remove them. They also wear liquid latex over their nipples. I guess to get around the nudity thing so they can serve booze? Obviously as two women we did not get much attention from the strippers. A very nice lady named Aurora took the plunge and we chatted for a bit and got some dances. Most of the ladies are rather old and the majority have enormous fake boobs. Not really my cup of tea but I suppose it was the lack of energy from most of them. There were only two others, Emma and another lady who was a spinner type that seemed fun and were good dancers. The rest just loitered at the back of the club until they were forced to go on stage. It seems weird that management just lets them sit there. Overall not my favorite club, it wasn't a bad time, it was just slim pickings
