Not sure what to make of PlayPen

After my visit I'm not sure what to make of this place.

I stopped in late in the afternoon and the parking lot was very full. The building looks very old and run down; the parking is in the back which is nice if you don't want to be seen. Not sure who might see you in this part of town.

There was no cover charge, but there was a sign on the door that women had to pay a rather large cover after like 6:00. That seemed odd to me at the time, but it made more sense later on. Most of the seats at the bar were taken or had dirty glasses or dishes. I found one of the lone clean spots and took a seat to survey the place. As others have mentioned the customer were mostly blue collar workers. There was a girl on stage and one guy sitting at the rack; he was getting a lot of attention. There were a couple other girls sitting at the bar and a couple more playing video poker. None were what I would call attractive.
