Thursday night deals not worth it

A dancer from our usual spot quit/got fired and went to Controversy, a buddy had a thing for her, so off to Controversy we went. Thursdays is $2 well drinks and 2 for 1 lap dances. It's not worth it. We arrived somewhat early (9pm-ish), parking was easy at that time, $10 cover, pro-forma check with a wand for weapons. Security/door guy was super nice, points to the club for that. Inside, it was a bit chilly. Bartender was horrible; couldn't be bothered to hit the right button on the soda gun for ginger ale, used coke instead about 1/2 the time.

Either way, the soda was NASTY. I have no idea the last time that gun was cleaned, but it desperately needed it. I'm not generally a well drink type but I'm not paying for a premium spirit to be mixed with either the wrong thing, or even the right thing when it tastes like ass. She also wasn't remotely friendly or engaging, although she seemed attractive enough (had a big jacket on because of the temperature inside). She also wasn't handling tables even though she walked by us every 5 minutes, we were not far from the bar but no one ever came around, we had to go up to her to get the awful drinks.

On to the real reason to be there, the dancers. Not many seemed to be working, one on the stage at a time (where no one was sitting) and then a few with guys in the tables/chairs in front of, but not at, the stage. Tipped a few on stage, they never came by the table even though I asked them to. The night was somewhat saved when two new girls showed up to try-out. They did come over to sit, said they were coming over from Blush and tonight was their first night at Controversy.
