First Return in a Decade
I've read the reviews here to keep up with the changes at Ybor since last I was there in, oh, roughly 2005 or so. It used to be my Go-To club for any later-night fun in the Tampa area. I remember the good ol' days, ah yes ... You could meet with dancers at the "real" section of Ybor City (the civilian stroll, between roughly 3rd and 7th, IIRC) and actually "go out" for partying. Then later "go in" for more partying.
But that was then. This is now. There are curtains. But not all the curtains. There, glad that is settled, it seems to be a bone of continual contentious debate here at TUSCL. The existence of curtains is certain. Those curtains enclose each VIP-alcove from the main room. But there are also places where there are no curtains. The curtains which COULD be enclosing each VIP-booth from its VIP-alcove do not exist. That much is also certain. The several alcoves each house approximately three booths. So, from main room to alcove? Yes curtain. From alcove to booth? No curtain. Get it?
Also, relative to 2005, the whole club is glitzier and has even more mirrors than I remember from previously. And the curtains (where there ARE curtains, of course) are newer and kind of thick and classy. And the DJ booth has a type of counter to it that allows the girls to lean up to pick a song or whatever. And the departure-alley to what USED to be the women's dressing room is now an area that LOOKS like it houses more private booths (alcoves? booths? didn't go back there) for dances.
