A Great Place that Starts Late

Dean's Gold is a cut above other options in North Miami. Easy to find, along Biscayne Boulevard; an impressive facility with a large, well-lit parking lot. I arrived around 7:30 pm, before the valet had arrived. Cover was $15. The receptionist mentioned that "the first dancer is now on stage," and also tipped me off to the fact that drinks were 2-for-1 until 8:00. Entered the main room, which is dominated by a large, well-lit center stage. Looking around, the place seemed like a maze, with lots of alcoves and separate seating areas.

There were about 7-10 dancers, mostly sitting with each other, and fewer than 10 customers. Dancers were uniformly slender and attractive, a real "7-up" staff. Dancers wore gowns and/or cocktail dresses on the floor. Interaction was polite, friendly, and respectful--a change of pace from my earlier stop at Cheetah Hallandale, where a dancer wearing nothing but a g-string "introduced" herself to me with full-on kissing (that's for another review).

Had a real conversation with O*****, a tall, shapely AA (born in Liberia), which progressed from drinks to lap dancing. LDs took place in an alcove a few steps up from the main floor; good contact, but the space did not feel private at all. No matter--there were so few people at the club even around 8:30 there was no one to bother us. All in all Dean's Gold deserves the high ratings. My only error was going there on a day that began with a 4:00 am alarm and an early flight to MIA. Next time, I'll take an afternoon nap and visit the place when it really gets going.
