Medical drama at Chez Joey

Went into Chez Joey at about 5:15 pm on Friday Dec 1 after my visit to Club Pussycat. Reasonably busy with about 10 customers and 10 dancers a mix of white and AA. Almost decided not to stay but a slim black girl, not so much to look at in the face and not much development in the chest area approached and was very active with her hands so I decided to buy her the usual $25 dancer drink. Before the drink arrived a dancer on the stage suffered a seizure and collapsed. The girl I was with and several other dancers rushed to help her. Eventually they got her off the stage and management got 3 other dancers together dancing on the stage to pick things up.

After about 10 minutes or so the dancer I was with returned to claim her drink. Apparently the girl with the seizure was new, whether she just freaked out or the strobe lights brought on the seizure were matters for conjecture. No chances were being taken and when I was leaving an ambulance was arriving. The dancer I was with was nice enough but I didn't go beyond the bar side interaction. A sign on the wall listing prices said lap dances were two songs for $40.

I've been in Chez Joey a few times and weird things seem to always happen to me there. One odd thing I noticed was a customer, a well dressed black woman probably mid 20's. She had a fistful of dollar bills in her hand. One of the dancers on stage got completely nude and this woman exclaimed "oh" as if surprised by it. It is a strip club ma'am. Chez Joey was also the only one of the 4 block clubs I went to this trip that had Christmas decorations up.
