Return to the avenue

I hadn't been to this place for more than a decade and a name change. This club is on Independence Avenue and I'm always a little uneasy about about that because cops know white guys with Kansas plates aren't on that street after 6 p.m. unless they are looking for pussy or dope. So I cruised down the avenue looking at the cops, whores, drunks and junkies wondering what it was in me that drove me to check out a now Black strip club in such a questionable locale.

I've hung in cowboy shit-kicker, biker, Mexican and black clubs before with no problem and figured if I didn't want trouble, I probably wouldn't find it. Parked at the hardware store next door and got wanded as I came in, which I found reassuring.

There's a long bar along the east end of the bar. Small stage with pole about a little more than half way down from the front entrance. I got a joke because I didn't want any problems with the cops later. The dancers, all black, mainly worked the stage to hip-hop and then hung with regulars. Some were quite athletic. I'm not much an admirer of big butt black chicks, but full-on worshiper of athletic slim ebonies. I tipped one of the latter, which brought her to my side later. I think her name was Isis.
