I have not been to the Vu in a while but I can give some experiences.

It is not as hot as it used to be 5-7 years ago. The booths in the back are more secluded and smaller and you could see other people get dances and see who was worth it and who wasn't. I think the remodel has hurt their business. I would get more dances if it went back to the way it was. It's a shame.

If you're looking to go on a budget, you can usually get in for $15 or less ( a VIP pass if you're lucky enough to obtain one) and you can sit at the tip rail all night and spend singles and have a few hours of enjoyment and not spend too much. You're gonna get asked for a dance often by the dancers, and you don't have to get one. You'll still get good stevies when the dancers come on the stage, and if they don't, you can leave. Hopefully the dancers still do that.
