The New Playhouse

This place re-opened on November 30 after a number of months of renovation and re-organization.

When I dropped by last night at 1 AM, I was underwhelmed by the renovations because the place looked exactly the same as before. However, it looked like the décor changed a little and there was a new coat of paint, but the place looked much like the old Legends Lounge. The stage and DJ booth were the same. However, the VIP room was completely different. It is now on the ground floor and with high sides to each booth, a narrow opening for egress and subdued lighting, it is one of the most private of VIP rooms anywhere.

Another neat thing, a Coke was $3, almost half the price at the other bars. There were six girls, five white ones and a single black dancer. I chose Lyric, a blond with long hair and a nice soft body. That was a costly mistake. She used to dance at Leopards, and I recalled later, that were dances were uninspired and mechanical. What a way to ruin the perfect backdrop with crappy dances. Tessa, a young brunette who formerly worked at Mints and Sundowners in Niagara Falls, came by and told me that her dances were much "better:" and "inspired. I made a mental note to visit her later.
