Bad Timing

While I've been trying to take a break from clubbing, it's tough not to pay a visit to an old favorite when out on the road, especially when I know it's a place I don't get to visit often. That's how I ended up at Club Bristol on a Friday evening recently.

Madison has two clubs I've visited: Bristol and their iteration of the Silk chain, Wisconsin's biggest strip club brand. The places are very different. Silk is a show club, Vegas-style, nude, but also rather strict about dances being only one-way touching. Bristol, on the other hand, kind of lets the dancers do what they want, despite signs saying "Absolutely No Touching the Dancers." The happy medium generally ends up being some light two-way contact, but nothing more than that. Bristol also has the feel of a rural bar that just happens to have a few ladies walking around and dancing.

I got in around 8, which was just kind of poor timing. Even on a Friday, that was too early for a lot of action to be going on. A few girls were meandering, but it seemed like they were just wrapping up day shift and ready to go home. At times, most of the girls were in the back.
