Nice place

Stopped by Stars Bridgeport on a Wednesday evening around 10PM. I hadn't been to a Stars since the Beaverton on shut down, but I was in the area so I figured "what the hell." Six bucks to get in.

In terms of decor, Stars is among the nicer clubs in the Portland area; not divey at all. There are three stages and all were running. Lottery machines are tucked into one corner and the bar is along one wall near the main stage. It's a largish open room with lots of small tables and cushy chairs. The DJ runs the music loud enough that I had difficulty talking to the girls I sat with, but I'm an older guy who doesn't hear as well as I used to. Music was mostly hip hop, but there was enough of a mix that it was obvious the DJ plays what the girl on the main stage wants to dance to.

With one bartender and two cocktail girls you'd think getting a drink would be no problem. Not so. It was 20 minutes before the cocktail girl approached me and the girl I was sitting with. I told her my drink order three times and she still managed to get it wrong. She also shortchanged me. The bar did fix the first problem and I never gave the cocktail girl a chance to repeat the second.
