Scary in Vallarta

I was staying at Vidanta and wanted to experience a little bit of the rawer side of Mexico. I asked our waiter about casinos off site and he said basically don’t leave the resort or you’ll get mugged. I figured he was joking and tried anyway.

I didn’t get mugged but like other reviewers have said, it’s a game of nickel and dime before you even get in the door. I got tired of the constant upsell and left before getting any kind of service and down $40. Buyer beware and mileage may vary.

Also Vallarta at night is a little shady. Be safe.
