As Advertised

Based on reviews of high mileage and some dancers that looked promising on their website, I checked out Tommy's on an early afternoon. Really didn't know what to expect at this time of day, but found a little of everything! The place is really small. The bar and few tables near the bar were packed. Mostly older (40-60 years) men and a few dancers mingling with them. The chairs around the small stage and a few small tables on the far side of the stage were mostly empty. I got the impression that small groups of regular customers come in during their breaks from work, mingle, then go back to work in this industrial area east of 205. The overall vibe was upbeat and friendly. Several scantily clad ladies greeted me immediately with highly evocative sleazy grins, but they didn't push for private time, nor did they circulate to ask for dances later. I didn't see any customers go back for private dances.

Contrary to earlier reviews, there was a steady stream of dancers on stage when I was there. They were actually dancing and spending up close time with the one or two men at the rail. Any attention or tip at the stage was rewarded with a boob to the face or a crotch grab. Consistent with earlier reviews, the dancers on stage were very out-of-shape; in fact some were the fugliest dancers I've ever seen in a club, but gave the vibe that fun could be had in a private dance. I didn't see the dancers advertised on their web page, but I wasn't really expecting much at this early hour.

There was one very pretty, tall, shapely light-skinned AA dancer who introduced herself as Cashmere. She explained the options for shows. She hung with me to chat for awhile as I watched the stage show, then left for a while when I told her I was undecided for more. After watching a couple more dancers on stage and deciding that Cashmere was by far the prettiest girl there that day (in fact she was one of the best built dancers I'd seen anywhere in Portland, even with well-made additions up top), I partook in a 20 minute (expensive) dance in the private area. Services were as promised with no up-sale once in the back.
