First time at NL
I hit New Locomotion on a Wednesday afternoon passing through the Toronto area. As others have mentioned, the club is like a big warehouse with a bit of a cold, sterile feel. No cover charge and I saw only about 4 other patrons when I walked in. A dancer was on stage but nobody was in range of the stage. Three guys were sitting at high tables at the back of the stage area which is at least 40 ft from the stage. I took a table and got a drink - I think it was 6 loonies for a soda. After a few minutes a cute spinner named Olivia cam by to see how I was doing.
She was friendly but direct - we could go for a dance and have HJ, BJ, FS - what ever I wanted, just let her know. I thanked her and said I was going to hang for a bit since I just walked in. She smiled and left and didn’t seem interested in having a chat. I saw only one other dancer in the club talking to another guy. One or two more may have come out of the dance area, but then disappeared. After about a half hour Olivia walked by and I caught her eye. We went for a dance and I chose the CBJ option for 140. She threw in a couple of dances to warm me up. The private dance area is not very. Old couches strewn in a sort of long hall elevated form the main club. If no one is there it is private, but in a crowded club there would be other guys on couches right next to you. This was a totally different experience form the previous night a Sundowner where mileage was low but conversation and atmosphere was much better.
Usually when I got to Toronto I don’t go to clubs but instead go to massage places. Steeles Royal has been very good. To contrast this with New Locomotion here’s a list of differences:
