Great neighborhood hangout

I hadn't been in to Riverside since the bridge construction. My daytime visit had 2 dancers on duty and they couldn't have been less alike, other than they both were quite friendly. But I've always found the dancers here to be friendlier than most venues in Portland. Riverside is just a nice neighborhood bar hangout that just happens to have some strippers.

I watched both dancers on stage. Both offer themselves for a private dance very politely at the end of their sets. PDs are done in some recently added little rooms at the far end of the room. Rooms are about as private as you can get without a hard door. A sheer curtain at their doorway opens to a not well used area and isn't right in the middle of things like so many other places. Apparently, the bar gets $10 every time a dancer uses the PD rooms. That's $10 per trip, not per song. I'm not really crazy about that fee but with the right dancer I can work with it.

After carefully choosing one of the dancers for a private dance (and it was a tough choice), I was quite pleased with the result. Obviously, nothing too wild can go on in the PD, but I didn't see any cameras and things were quite relaxed.
