A Tuesday evening, arrived about 8 and the place was dead. 5 or 6 customers, one dancer working the club's only open stage while most of the others sat gabbing around a table watiting their turn. My initial impression: rude and raw, with little emphasis upon selling a fantasy. Maybe most all-nudes are like that (this was my first). Some of the strippers were friendly, others aloof (usual SC mix). A couple of them sat w/ young Mexicans -- probably friends or boyfriends, clearly spending no money. (The stripper-ignoring-customer-in-favor-of-friends/boyfriends is my pet SC peeve due to the many negative messages sent -- particularly when their compansions are lowlifes, as this reveals a truth about the strippers that I would just soon as not see on blatant display.)

Anyway, I settled into the couch by the only open stage. Most of the shows adhered to a going-through-the-motions formula which I attribute primarily to the early hour and few, low-tipping custies. The only aggressive dancer in the house asked me twice for a dance. I can't recall her name but she was tall, had "rebel" tattooed above her privates, and was vivacious and charismatic if not a classical beauty. I accepted her second offer, more to escape the staid, dead vibe of the main area rather than out of a huge desire for the dance. That said, the dance was pretty good. She was initially very aggressive, w/ a lot of innuendo suggesting possible extras, but I'm pretty sure it was all BS. I never got the sense that extras were truly on the menu. However, I enjoyed her company greatly. After the dance ended, we went back out into the main area and I watched her stage dance. In the middle of the dance, the DJ belched loudly into the mike. All of the other strippers laughed and Rebel looked over at him admonishingly. Some kind of private joke, no doubt, but for me it tipped the scales from appealingly-raunchy to flat-out low-class. The experience had been teetering on that line for a while and the guy's belch finally broke the spell.

I may return later, but I will have to be in just the right mood.
