Nov 2017 update

Went to CCR on Sunday Oct 29 and finally remembered to post this update. Got to the club at 5:00pm and stayed until around 9:30pm, when they lost power due to a thunderstorm – they stayed open but the most dancers went to the dressing room and most customers left.

I haven’t been here on a Sunday for a long time and had to update on a strange thing they do now for Redskins football games (Redskin game started at 4:30pm that day). They have put in a projection system and put the game on a large screen behind the main stage. This is fine when the game is in the early afternoon as the dancers don’t start until 4:30pm on Sunday. But for evening or night games it’s not good for the customers or for the dancers. The dancers do their stuff in front of the screen and block the view/casting a shadow on the screen while having the projected light beamed right into their faces if they look forward. I’ve been to clubs that have a large unprojected TV screen behind the main stage but their stages are much larger so the dancer isn’t right in front of the screen.

Plus, the owner has reduced the satellite TV package to basic plus NFL, so now there’s just ESPN-no ESPN 2/U/News/etc, just FS1/no FS2, etc, no BeIN or other non-major sports channels. Not so much of a sports bar now.
