WATCH OUT FOR THE DOOR HUSTLER

Let me preface this review with that I have been EI multiple times on my own, and have had no issues. This was the first time I took some friends with me. It was four brown guys that went tonight. I will also preface this that our collective favorite strip club is Follies.

On this night, as we roll up and make the walk across the street from the parking lot and approach a door, a guy wearing a "Run the God" cap stops us in front of the door and makes a half attempt to look at our ID. I have had my ID looked at here multiple times, along with pat downs at the front door. He first asks us if we are going to the "restaurant or strip club", and I respond with we are going upstairs. This threw off a red flag for me, but I ignored it. I have never been asked if I'm going to the restaurant or the strip club. He told us the cover is $20 each, which we paid him. He then proceeds to break up the change in front of us with our own money. After which, he escorts us upstairs and tells the lady we are cool, and that we are with him. We are thinking we are fine and that we paid the proper cover. As we are walking away, one of us hears the lady tell him it's $10 each. He proceeded to hustle $40 total out of all.

I'm a fan of EI, and I like EI. I will go back again on my own, but I will not be taking anyone else back with me or recommending it to anyone because of this. Things like can give the establishment a bad name and the fact they weren't doing anything to prevent it. The guy was then in the club the rest of the night talking to the girls and basically really close by to us as we got dances.
