OK place for the area

Seems like there is not a lot of good places to visit whenever I have to go to Des Moines (usually about once a year). On my last visit (a few months ago), I stopped here for the first time in few years. In the past, I had found this to be hit or miss, but with little else available was an OK place. So gave it another go. The club itself is easy enough to get to, but area seems a bit run down. Got there about 7 PM. Thought the cover was a bit steep (20 if memory serves), but paid anyway.

Bouncer gave me a pat-down, which made me a little uptight. Once inside, atmosphere was more relaxed. Never really felt unsafe, although I know they have had a few issues from time to time. Club was rather cramped and a bit dirty, but I've been in worse. Saw 4 or 5 dancers. None were very memorable. No real dogs, but nothing great either. They have a VIP area where you will spend a minimum of 50 just to get in, and can easily spend a lot more than that for the promise of "more fun." I was not impressed enough with any of the talent to try it out, so I can't be sure just how much milage you might get there. Overall, an average or slightly below average experience. Not much to draw me back again.
