Was in town for a UFC fight and decided to check out Rick's the night before the fight, as it was closest to my hotel. The bouncers/security/floor-guys were super friendly, shaking hands with every customer. Was asked if I wanted a table but opted to sit at the bar. The space was small, though there was at least one more level upstairs that I did not see. One main stage which was nice-sized and one 'auxiliary' stage which was tiny. I think there was another stage on the second level. For a Friday night, it was far less crowded than I thought, especially with the Knicks game ending shortly before I got there. The club was very nicely "dressed", reminded me of Spearmint Rhino in Vegas, just smaller.

For the small space, there were a lot of dancers. I'd guess I saw 40-60. Most were attractive, large majority had European accents. Lots of blondes, mostly natural, but all ethnicities and shapes & sizes were represented. Several approached me and were friendly until I turned them down; at that point some gave a friendly "well nice to meet you, maybe I'll check back on later" but most just walked away. I'm not a fan of accents so was turning down ladies left and right. Finally I called a woman over that I had previously turned away and got some dances from her. She took me to a chair on the side of the club and for $20 per song gave me great dances with a good grind and over the pants contact. If it wasn't for the accent and cigarette breath, I probably would have spent a lot more time with her. After 4 songs I thanked her and tipped her an extra $20. From there I decided to approach a few ladies I was interested in and asked them where the restroom was, just so I could see if they had an accent or not. No luck, so I went back to the bar and had another drink before getting a bottle of water and heading out.

Drinks were expensive, but hey it's NY and they were probably on par with other clubs. I paid $19 for a vodka & soda, and I think the bottled water I ordered before I left was over $10. While I did not go up to the VIP area, I was told it was ~$360 for a half hour (of which $200 goes to the dancer) and that I could expect the waitress to give a hard sell for a bottle of champagne. Don't knock the hustle; they're just doing their job.
