Nothing Happening

Heard about Sapphire for years and wanted to see it for myself. Limo driver was friendly as he dropped me off about 7 PM. The club is large and extravagant, like out of a movie. But that only made the absence of dancers and activity more puzzling. There were not even five dancers present and about the same number of patrons. I had a friendly conversation with the cute bartender but the few dancers there were occupied. By 7:30 PM I didn't see any point in staying and got transportation to another local club which had dozens of dancers working.

Las Vegas seems to be embracing its new NHL team the Golden Knights. At Sapphire the main stage included two flat screens, one on each side, that were playing the Golden Knights game. For an out-of-towner like me that seemed out of place, particularly when the hockey broadcast paused for all those commercials.

I am in my late 60s and attend strip clubs in the early evening. Of course most clubs will get busier later after 10 PM or after midnight. But I couldn't help but be disappointed when a club known for a large number of dancers can only summon up four dancers at 7:30 PM during the week. I am not likely to return.
