I went to the Palazio yesterday...
I went to the Palazio yesterday around 11:40 am to check out the lunch crowd, but there was no crowd. No crowd of customers or dancers. There was no cover. I wore shorts and a t-shirt and had no problem getting in. There is a main stage and two side stages. The world's smallest glass of watered down iced tea can be found here for $3.50. The lunch specials were a tuna fish sandwich for $8.99 and a breaded porkchop for $9.99.
There was no dancer on stage and I didn't see any in the club. The manager came around to all 4 of us in the club to apologize for the lack of dancers. At noon a dancer finally made it to the main stage. She danced 3 dances. The song length was from 3.75 to 5.25 minutes each.
The club is very clean since it is new, but I would have thought after 2 weeks they could come up with some dancers. Around 1PM they had about 7 dancers. The dancers complained about the lack of management at the club with scheduling dancers and drawing in the lunch crowd. They complained that people are just walking out because of a lack of dancers. I explained with there "lunch specials" no one will be beating down the door for a $9 tuna fish sandwich and no dancers until noon. I asked about lap dances and was told $20. I told her she had to be joking. Every other club in Austin has $10 dances during lunch. She agreed to $10 dances. She did a good job dancing with plenty of contact. Just about all of the dancers were from Expose. Some of the dancers were sent from Expose that morning because they didn't have any dancers for Palazio.
