Not Impressed

The Cherry is about 15 minutes outside of Huntsville in a commercial area on a well traveled highway. It’s in a small complex of buildings, consisting of Visions, another strip club (not open on this trip), a liquor store, a tattoo parlor, and a sex toys shop. All are in nondescript prefab metal buildings, including The Cherry. There is a large parking lot in the middle of all the buildings. There was guy who looked like a bum hanging out in the parking lot.

The cover charge was $5. The club is pretty big, and was mostly empty during my visit. There were about a half dozen guys scattered around, about half white, half black. It’s not a dive, but definitely a lower mid-tier type of place.

There is a long bar along the right wall. Past the bar are the restrooms. The main stage is in the middle of the room. The stage is divided up in three sections: two elevated areas at either end and a lower section in the middle, with a pole of each section. There were also two smaller satellite stages at either end of the main stage that I never saw used. Along the left wall is the entrance to the ViP area, but I didn’t go back.
