I really hate to do this,...

I really hate to do this, but I have to give YS the lowest rating that I ever have. Wife and I dropped in last Friday evening just before the shift change. We saw a girl on the day shift that had danced for us on a previous visit. That night she was outgoing, bright and friendly. Last week she was going through the motions. In spite of the fantastic time we had with her last time, we decided to pass this time. Actually, we didn't have to pass, she (like almost all of the dayshift girls) never bothered to circulate through the club. They all huddled in a corner, waiting for the nightshift to liberate them. The girls on the nightshift were better looking but they were lacking the attitude that we had always noticed at YS in the past. This place has always felt more like a neighborhood bar. The girls, while generally not the "stunners" you might find in other Tampa clubs, were cute, friendly and approachable. They had fun and wanted to make sure that you did too. That was not the vibe we got last week. We did go for a private dance with Heather. Knowing that not all dancers are comfortable with couples, I generally wait to see which ones will approach us. Many are eager to dance for a lady, and Heather seemed to be one of those. She has a great body, very cute and fairly personable. The dance was disappointing though. She had a set routine that moved through fairly mechanically. Even though a special had been announced when we went back, she wanted the full $25 for each dance - and then said I could tip her if I wanted to. Candidly, in a lot of clubs, they expect to get a little extra when they dance for two. I don't have a problem with that. It's just that I didn't expect that at YS. Usually, we wind up staying back there for so long that I lose track of songs and I more than happy to take care of the dancer. I am not prepared to say that YS is no longer my favorite club. We will go back and give it another chance, but our last visit was not what we have come to expect. Hopefully, we just caught them on an off night.
