15 years since last visit, but still great
It was 15 years since my last trip to Dallas, stopped in at an old favorite. Took an uber from the hotel and got there about 6:30 on Saturday evening. They opened at 6, which I didn't know, so things were just getting started. There were probably less than 10 customers there, and about 10 dancers that I saw, although many more were backstage. Cover was $5 - not bad. They had a 2 item minimum sign posted, but no enforcement that I saw.
The decor hasn't changed noticeably. The club has a bold masculine look, suggestive of a safari club. The main stage has a faux cave opening where the dancers emerge. The club was clean and well maintained from my view. I took a table near the main stage. The chairs are very comfortable. The dancers were doing a 3 stage, 2 song rotation. Songs were about 3 minutes. Music was not overly loud, and a decent mix. DJ basically only called dancers for their rotations - I liked that.
I was a bit hungry, so I ordered a chicken tenders appetizer for $8, which I thought was reasonable. They arrived piping hot with honey mustard and regular barbecue sauce on the side. They were very good. Based on this, I would recommend the food. I'm only a soda drinker, but those were priced at $5. Can't comment on other drinks.
