New Look

I haven't been to Alex's in years, so this was my first time seeing the revamped club. It looks nice. One stage in the center, a few small cocktail tables, a small bar, everything looks clean and modern. The cocktail waitress was super friendly (and good looking). The main space is a lot smaller than before, I assume because there are rooms behind the curtains that take up the rest of the space. A lap dance room, for one, which I experienced, but probably also champagne rooms which I didn't experience. There are only a couple of negatives, but they're big.

One, there are way too many bouncers. They're not unfriendly, but they're everywhere you look -- I swear there were more bouncers on than dancers. The bouncer at the entrance looks at your ID (but doesn't scan it) and runs the metal detector, another bouncer takes your money, $10 (kind of high, in my opinion), and others just hang with the girls.

Two, the dancer hotness index isn't very high. There were only two dancers that I thought were hot, the others were either pudgy or fake. The two hotties were Isabella, a blonde with lots of tattoos, and Jasmine, a nicely proportioned black spinner with glasses. I took Jasmine for a $20 lap dance. You pay the bouncer before entering the room. The dance was topless with one-way touching, and mild one-way touching at that. I get much better one-way action at The Club, not to mention serious two-way action at Mario's. Of course the virtues of the champagne room was extolled -- I'm not paying that kind of dough without a little foretaste.
