Something for everyone, unless you hate loud rock
Recently visited the Clubhouse of Pantera fame on a Friday night, got there after 10 a little tipsy already. Remember this club is BYOB after 7pm so come prepared--they are open until 4 or 5 a.m. depending on the day of the week. There is usually a bootlegger selling beers etc. inside at a high profit just in case you come empty handed--or ask one of the girls to help you find a drink.
Typical valet parking situation when you pull up at the front door, I pass on it and take the 300 foot drive to my free parking space. Gather up my drinks for the night (assorted beers and a bottle of vodka in a 6 pack carrier) and head to the front door where I paid either $15 or $20 to get in, can't remember...
The music is bumping before you enter the double doors into the den of ecstasy (OK that was an exaggeration). Walking into the main floor of the Clubhouse, the layout is really simple. The large, mirrored main stage with dual poles is straight ahead, DJ up top left in a booth above the stage, bathroom to the right of the entrance. The "bar" is located middle of the room, where you can get ice and mixers for drinks. There are a few satellite stages that wrap around the back of the bar, these are only utilized on busy nights (weekends). Tables and chairs are scattered around the sides of the room and in front of the main stage. There are stairs that lead up from the back of the main floor that lead up to the balcony--more tables, chairs and a few couches--which also includes the entrance to the more "private" VIP area (more well used couches) above and right of the main stage, which can be accessed all night for an additional $35 wristband.
